Submit your research for presentation at MEEGID X
Abstract Submission Deadline: June 04, 2010
INTRODUCTION
Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology have never been more important topics than they are today. In these exciting times, we are proud to announce the 10th edition of the highly successful international conference series on the Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics of Infectious Diseases (MEEGID). Together, the MEEGID congress series and its companion journal, Infection, Genetics and Evolution, represent the main forum for cross-fertilization between evolutionary science and biomedical research on infectious diseases.
This major scientific event will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 3 - 5 November 2010.
Scientific Topics
Molecular epidemiology
Evolutionary genetics, genomics, proteomics
Mathematical modeling & bio-informatics
Molecular diagnostics
Population biology
Genetics, population biology and morphometrics of vectors
Host genetic susceptibility to infectious diseases
MEEGID is a wide-ranging conference that deals with the molecular evolution of all pathogens: viruses, pathogenic bacteria, fungi, parasites and prions of medical, veterinary or agronomical relevance.
Through plenary lectures and symposia, special emphasis will be given to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, ebola and influenza.
Attendance at this conference will enable you to:
Access unique, high-quality content and gain a state-of-the-art report on the latest developments in infectious diseases and epidemiology research
Learn from experts in the field and meet with international researchers sharing a common interest.
Present your latest research
Network with an interdisciplinary group - including academics and researchers, as well as health and industry professionals.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstract Submission Deadline: June 04, 2010

A limited number of submissions will be selected for presentation as short oral communications within the conference programme.
Coverage includes:
Molecular epidemiology
Evolutionary genetics, genomics, proteomics
Mathematical modeling & bio-informatics
Molecular diagnostics
Population biology
Genetics, population biology and morphometrics of vectors
Host genetic susceptibility to infectious diseases
All pathogens and infectious models will be considered, including those of veterinary or agronomical relevance.
SUPPORTING JOURNAL
Launched nine years ago, Infection, Genetics and Evolution is now published in eight issues per year. It has been indexed by Medline and Index Medicus, starting from the first issue. It has been quoted 3.5/5.0 ('very good') by the US National Library of Medicine. It is covered by ISI and the official impact factor for 2008 is 2.792 (ISI Web of knowledge).
A special issue of the journal, including original papers by invited speakers, will be published following the meeting.
